Bent Left vision

"Now tip-toe across a lost cause
Because a lost cause found
Don't mean you found a cause
That means you found a lost cause!"

This'll be a short one. Largely because I'm using the only decent internet source I have in my life right now: DU's Library and I gotta watch my arse before those parking hounds consume me with yellow envelopes.

Well, I'm more or less moved in. I.e, I'm living there; more or less present and kicking it. Yet, the process of 'settling' takes a bit more time, things and effort. IF anyone has some extra hangars, cool furniture or any other things to fill a room 3X bigger than any other I've had, throw 'em my way!

Here's my music shout-outs for the week:

Rain Machine--Desperate Bitch This is Kyp Malone
from TV on the Radio's solo album. If there's an artist to continue watching I'd certainly put him on the list. The whole album is long, and full of a lot of interesting energies, sounds and a lot of soul. It's one where it comes to the point where you're not so much listening or enjoying in the name of this song or that, but in the name of the pieces of self that Kyp maniests through the piece as a whole. If you like this one, check the album. It's great.

The Avalanches--Frontier Psychiatrist
The Avalanches are another band that's been kind of hiding beneath a rock for some. Me included before this week. Some clean, fun and groovin' electronic out of Melbourne. Their album, since I left you is certainly worth a listen too!
Gang Gang Dance--Vaccum Out of Manhattan, these guys bring an interesting sound to the stage after having shared it with the likes of Sonic Youth, Animal Collective, Battles and Massive Attack. The album as a whole is weird, really weird. There are a couple highlights, however, and Vaccum is one of them....

In other news, Dionysus is looking good and nearly complete complete, not just done. This week, I threw on a new bottom bracket after much angst and notknowingness as to whether it was English or French threaded, I ended up getting lucky and it turned out to be English. Threw that on, my new crankset I ordered last week and new pedals. I'm stoked on how strong, responsive and lightweight that new crankset is.

The water ain't safe no more....
